Minecraft Circle Generator

Get a block-by-block circle or oval of any size, with the center marked and the number of blocks in every row, so round towers, domes and arenas come out smooth.

Style

The red cells mark the center. Rows are counted from the top.

Blocks per row

    How it works

Build a perfect circle in three steps

    1. Set the size

Type the diameter. Untick the circle option to make an oval with a different width and height.

    2. Choose the style

Thin circles touch at the corners, thick circles have no diagonal gaps, filled circles are solid floors.

    3. Build from the center

Mark the center block in your world, then place each row using the counts listed under the chart.

    What you get

Everything you need for round builds

    Any size up to 300

Small 5-block circles to 300-block arenas, as circles or ovals.

    Thin, thick or filled

Choose walls that connect diagonally, solid walls without gaps, or a full floor.

    Center marked

The red cells show the exact middle: one block for odd sizes, a 2 × 2 square for even sizes.

    Blocks per row

Every row is listed as block runs, so you can count instead of squinting at a grid.

    Total block count

See how many blocks the whole circle takes before you start mining.

    Tips

Tips for building circles in Minecraft

Blocks are square, so a Minecraft circle is always an approximation: a block is part of the circle when its center falls inside the true circle. That rule gives smooth, symmetric shapes at every size.

    Odd or even diameter?

Odd diameters (like 21) have a single center block, which makes it easy to line the circle up with a door, a path or a beacon. Even diameters have a 2 × 2 center and suit builds that are two blocks wide in the middle.

    Thin or thick?

A thin circle uses the fewest blocks; its corners touch only diagonally, which looks clean from above. A thick outline fills those diagonal gaps, which you need for walls that mobs and water cannot pass. For example, a thin 21-block circle uses 56 blocks.

    Going 3D

Stack circles for towers and silos, or shrink them layer by layer for domes. The sphere generator does that math for you. To fill a circle with a picture, use the pixel art generator.

    FAQ

    Minecraft circle generator questions

How do I make a circle in Minecraft?

Enter the diameter above, pick thin, thick or filled, and place one block in your world as the center. Then build each row using the block counts listed under the chart, working outward from the middle row.

Should I use an odd or even diameter?

Odd diameters have a one-block center, ideal for lining up with doors and paths. Even diameters have a 2 × 2 center.

What is the difference between thin and thick?

Thin outlines connect only at the corners and use fewer blocks. Thick outlines have no diagonal gaps, so they make solid walls.

    Can I make an oval?

Yes. Untick “Circle (same width and height)” and set a different width and height.

How do I build a dome or sphere?

Use the Minecraft sphere generator, which shows every horizontal layer of a sphere or dome.
