About Pixtern
Pixtern (pixel + pattern) builds free tools that turn pictures into grids you can make with your hands: beads, blocks, yarn and thread.
What we do
Every craft on this site works the same way underneath: a picture is divided into cells, and each cell gets one bead, one block or one stitch in a real, buyable color. We built one careful engine for that and tuned it for each craft, from Perler bead patterns to tapestry crochet graphs.
Our principles
- Free and useful first. Every tool works without an account, and every export is free with no watermark. An account is only for sharing your patterns in the community gallery.
- Private by design. Images are processed on your own device and never uploaded.
- Honest colors. Bead colors come from the community-measured beadcolors project (MIT license). Screens differ, so we always say when a color is approximate.
