In grid designers, open Display on the toolbar. Common items: Show codes and Grid, with hints for letters/codes in cells and lines between cells.
Show codes
Show codes puts a letter/code in every cell matching Materials. After a brand switch, trust the current list — brands, materials. Zoom if letters feel crowded (zoom & pan).
Grid
Grid toggles lines between cells — useful when counting; hide for a flatter look.
With print and materials
Enable Show codes before Print/PDF. See Print and PDF and PNG and CSV.
With print and export
Proof codes zoomed in, then print. PNG without codes is weak for shopping; CSV has counts but no layout — pair with a coded chart (PNG and CSV). After brand switches or Replace all, codes update — reprint. See brand palettes.
