Using Pixtern

Does uploading make my image public?

“Stays on your device” for everyday making is not the same as Share to the community — the latter is an explicit publish action.

Makers and designers

Perler, pixel, Minecraft, kandi, tapestry crochet, and kinusaiga tools convert and edit images in your browser. Images are not uploaded just to build a pattern. Closing the tab discards unsaved previews.

Keep a copy yourself via Print/PDF, PNG, CSV, or SVG when the tool offers them.

When you publish

Only pressing Share and submitting the form sends pattern content to the community gallery. See publishing.

What sign-in uses

Sign-in (Google / GitHub / email code) supports publishing, likes, and syncing My colors. Email use follows the dialog and the privacy policy. Signed out, My colors stay on-device — My colors, sign-in.

Local export is not upload

PNG/CSV/Print/SVG save to your device or printer. Gallery download buttons are local exports too — they are not the same as publishing.

Before you publish

  • portraits, trademarks, or unauthorized fan art;
  • accidental Share on a private draft;
  • sign-out and clear downloads on shared PCs.
