Perler beads

Set board width and print page-by-board

Think of width as how many large pegboards sit side by side — closer to real placement and page splits than raw cell counts. Red lines mark both bead edges and print pages.

One board size

Pixtern models a standard large square pegboard as 29×29 beads (~14.5 cm / 5.7 in). Materials, red-line spacing, and print paging use this unit. Other board shapes need your own conversion.

Width presets and custom

Maker Width presets: 1 / 2 / 3 pegboards (29 / 58 / 87), plus Custom, up to about five boards (~145). Height follows image aspect and width.

  • Icons/symbols: prefer 1 board.
  • Portraits/pets/landscapes: try 2–3 boards; too narrow loses faces, too wide explodes bead count and ironing time.
  • Custom sizes near multiples of 29 splice and print more cleanly.

Check the materials list after generating.

Red boundary lines

Red lines every 29 cells mark physical board seams for placing beads and for aligning multi-board builds. They are not decorative — they match print paging.

Print by board

Print/PDF aims for one pegboard per page with row/column ranges and Materials. Avoid extra scaling in the dialog. See Print and PDF. For in-cell codes, enable Display → Show codes first (Show codes).

Designer canvas

In the Perler designer, Canvas size sets width/height; red lines still fall every 29 cells. Large mid-project resizes may crop or pad. Gallery Edit loads the pattern’s size.
