Maker vs designer
- Kandi pattern maker — upload an image, set beads per row and colors, get a grid, counts and written rows.
- Kandi pattern designer — paint bead by bead on a blank grid with the same row instructions.
Beads per row and colors
Maker Width is beads around the wrist (height follows the image). Most adult cuffs land around 20–30; string a test row first. Max colors limits the palette. Under Colors, use pony bead colors (including neon) or switch to Perler for fuse-bead kandi.
Row-by-row instructions
Below the chart, Row by row lists each row as bead runs such as “4 A, 2 B, 4 A”, with letters matching the materials list — so you can string without staring at the grid.
About peyote
The grid stacks beads straight up, as in multi-stitch (ladder) cuffs. Peyote offsets every other row by half a bead, so the same chart looks slightly slanted in peyote. The tool does not auto-offset rows — that honesty is intentional, not a missing feature.

After conversion, Edit lets you paint, fill or erase single beads.
Blank-grid designer
Set Width (beads per row) and Height (rows) — 25 × 10 is a solid first cuff — then paint or fill. Written rows update as you draw. Gallery patterns can open here via Edit.
Practice: high-contrast, few-color logos convert best; busy photos need a lower max-color cap. String a test row around the wrist before committing. Peyote will look slightly slanted on this straight grid — that limitation is documented on purpose. Publishing: Publish your pattern to the community gallery.
