Brush size
Brush size sets how many cells each stroke covers. [ / ] shrink/grow. Use 1 for eyes/text; larger brushes for big areas — or use Fill for flat regions. Brush size does not change fill connectivity or Replace all scope. See shortcuts.
Mirror drawing
Mirror drawing (M) mirrors left-right as you paint — great for faces and icons. Inspect the midline for overlap. Turn it off for asymmetric edits; undo bad mirrored strokes (undo). For whole-color swaps use Replace all.
Recommended workflow
Block in with a larger brush or fill, then drop to 1-cell for edges. Keep mirror on for the symmetric core; disable it before asymmetric details. Zoom in for small brushes (zoom). Use Replace all for global recolors.
Common mistakes
- Editing one side with mirror still on.
- Oversized brush eating neighboring colors and skewing materials counts.
- Drawing over a fixable mistake instead of undoing — see undo.
